“Oh, the good old days”, we often hear people cry, followed by an anecdote about how times past were simply much better than the 21st century, and several other reasons why we should turn back time if we had the option. This coming bank holiday weekend, we’d be inclined to agree. If you live in the Stratford-Upon-Avon vicinity, you’re in for a real treat over the August holiday weekend, as Mary Arden’s Farm in Wilmcote is to be transformed into a Tudor extravaganza, giving punters an opportunity to sample cuisine, partake in activities such as archery and tug of war, as well as feast their eyes on some dancing from the period. Not only this, but some expert re-enactors are expected to make an appearance, making the whole day much more authentic. Of course, as we know here at Big Roast, no party is complete without a tasty hog roast, which will be on offer for visitors to nibble on, too.
If you decide to head to the fair, why not let us know how you got on, and maybe what you enjoyed the most? Did you try the hog with some apple sauce, or were you a dab hand at getting bull’s-eye on the archery range? Whatever you’d like to share/ask us, one of our team is on hand to help you out. We look forward to hearing from you!
