There are many advantages in doing a Hog Roast or Spit Roast event over the more traditional Barbeque.
The first is cost as a Hog Roast can be an incredibly cost effective way of catering for a large number of guests. Secondly, a Hog Roast is guaranteed to provide perfectly cooked, succulent meat at the pre-determined serving time therefore cutting out the long queues waiting for the next batch of hurried burgers or sausages that invariably end up rushed resulting in a burnt outside and raw inside. A Standard sized Hog can serve up to one hundred portions
A Hog Roast needs enough outside space for our chef to set up his 3m x 3m Gazebo under which he cooks and serves and of course enough space for the guests to line up to be served by the chef.
We also need access to a normal household power point to run the small electric motor that turns the meat on a spike thus ensuring an even and perfect roast and of course the perfect Crackling.
So remember a Hog Roast as an economical outside catering option with the Wow factor thrown in.
