Hog Roast Spice Mixture
Making a paste spice mixture will allow you to easily and effectively apply it all over your hog roast. All you need is salt, water, coriander, black peppercorns, bay leaves, thyme, chilli pepper and crushed garlic. Salt and pepper seem plain and boring with a hog roast sometimes that is all you need.
Rub it onto your pig roast and create a delicious coating layer to ensure that your hog roast is crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside.
Spit Roast Spice Roast
Making a paste for a spit roast is the easiest way to ensure tastiness. Similar to a hog roast a paste leaves you with a crispy outside layer.
Spicy mixtures are always a winner. All you need to do is combine 2 tsp of ground cumin, ¼ tsp of chilli flakes, ¼ cup of chopped coriander and ¼ cup of white vinegar. If you are looking for something less spicy, a mustard, orange and honey paste will be perfect. All you need is salt, pepper, seeded mustard and dried mixed herbs.
