Big Roasts speciality is Hog Roasts in London and the surrounding counties – and the aim of our company is to become the leading spit and hog roast company for London.
We are based near the centre of town in Wimbledon where we have a 6000sq ft warehouse which we share with a few related companies such as English Meat, The Water Delivery Company and The Water Cooler Company which we have built up over the last seven years. All our companies are family run and most of the people you will speak to in our London office regarding hog roasts have been with us for many years.
Back in 2005 we started thinking about providing hog roasts in London and working alongside a South African friend we fully researched the market and the machinery we would need. Our hog roast equipment is sourced in South Africa and is truly unique in the UK.
In 2006 we started doing smaller functions for family and friends and we were fortunate that word spread. In 2008 we started actively advertising our services online and through catering companies we had existing relationships with – and we have had a great two years as the business has grown and grown.
