Big Roast Celebrates the New Year

a hog roast will make your January brighterWe begin this week’s blog, dear hog roast fan, with a bold (and possibly controversial in the eyes of some) statement. January is rubbish. Christmas is over, the snow has (maybe) melted, or least lost its novelty value, and there seems to be nothing to look forward to in the near future. Not so. In this instalment, we suggest ways in which you may care to beat your own January blues, which won’t break the bank or leave you feeling very cold indeed.
– Go walking in your local park: Kicking up the leaves and crunching the frost on the grass, whilst you’re all wrapped up in your cosy coat and wellies is simply delightful. Afterwards, head home to polish off any left over mince pies.
– Hold a hog roast for you and your chums: Maybe invest in some lovely thick blankets, an outdoor heater or two, and enjoy being warm and full of yummy hog in the cool, crisp evening air.
– Plan a cheap summer holiday: If you decide to go backpacking around Europe, or indeed anywhere else in the world, it can be much cheaper, and you’ll get to see so many interesting spots. It won’t leave you broke, plus you’ll have something to look forward to later in the year.
If you’ve got any beating-the-blues suggestions that you’d like to share with other hog roast enthusiasts, please do get in touch and one of our team will be on hand to be interested in everything you have to say.
