Our Richmond is more or less packed with interesting, historic and beautiful places of interest like Ham House on the river front. This is an incredibly impressive National Trust property, very popular with the public and TV and film companies with many well-known period dramas being filmed there throughout the year.
Then of course we have Richmond Park, the Jewel in the Crown. Opened in 1637 by Charles 1st and so big and natural that upon entering it is hard to believe that you are in aLondonpark. One feels in the middle of the countryside especially when walking past and admiring the thousands of deer roaming free throughout the park.
Richmond is also a mecca for celebrity spotters as it is a popular place to live for many actors, prese
nters and singers, most notably Mick Jagger who has lived in the borough for many decades.
