Roasting Decisions | Big Roast

Deciding on having a hog roast is the easy part! Deciding on which meat to use is on the other hand is the hardest part, well unless you already have your ultimate favourite.
Big Roast has two types of meat which can be used for the roast.

Hog Roast

Hog Roasts are a generally desired if pork is the personal favourite. This pork is put through a special process to ensure that the meat gains extra flavour.
The hogs are reared outside and each has their own individual shelter. They are fed organic vegetable and cereal stock. These healthy food options add to the well-being of the hog as well as ensuring the integrity and taste of the roast. The hogs are left to roam free in the areas they are placed.

Lamb Roast

Lamb Roast is usually another popular favourite. Our free-range lambs are fed a diet of milk and grass. They are also left to graze over spacious areas in the Suffolk countryside.
To ensure that our lamb is matured on the bone and has a sweet, tender taste, it is hung for two weeks.

Vegetarian

We also offer a vegetarian option that is equally as tasty as the other roasts. There are four vegetarian options you can choose from so that you don’t have to leave your vegetarian friends out.
You can choose from the following:

  • Deliciously slow cooked tangy Cheese and Onion Quiche.
  • Tasty Tomato and Basil tart. This tart is slow roasted with cherry tomatoes and creamy filling flavoured Parmesan cheese accompanied by a fresh basil crust.
  • Rich and tangy Goats Cheese and Red Onion Tart garnished with thyme.
  • Flavourful Feta, Rosemary and Black Olive Tart garnished with rosemary.

Happy choosing! Please do not hesitate to call us on 0845 500 5450 for any other information you may require.
